If your Xsan volume seems to lose data, you probably backed up all important data before, that you can just restore, now.
Yet, in most cases the most recent work hasn’t made it into a backup yet, so you might want to recover these data from your broken Xsan volume.
A member of our team at ConSol* has just published an article, in which he describes how to recover data even in cases when anybody else would tell you to reformat your volume and lose all these data completely.
If you are not afraid of regular expressions, go ahead and read Ravi’s Xsan data recovery article on the ConSol* webpage.
